Friday, November 1st PAPA Black Hided Feeder Cattle Sale

Here this past Friday, we held our first of three P.A.P.A. Alliance Black Hided Sales.  We saw a large offering of some of the most reputable cattle in the Midwest selling 4260 head of cattle.  We had great attendance with farmers looking to fill pens considering they are looking over their shoulders at the crops in the fields and bedding that is yet to be made.  The market was solid throughout the entire sale with most of the interest leaning towards the calves that have been weaned for at least 45 days and with 2 rounds of vaccinations.  Genetics seem to be weighing heavily on the buyer’s minds as it has played a big part in the interest of the buyer this year.  Hopefully the weather outlook will be a little more farmer friendly in the very near future , as the farming communities look forward to finishing up this harvest season.
