Friday October 26th Holstein Feeder Sale

Results from the Special Fall Roundup All Holstein Steer/ Dairy Cross Feeder Cattle Sale Friday October 26th..

Here this past Friday we had a pretty decent run of Holstein Steers and Dairy Cross Feeder Cattle selling 808 head on a market that was anywhere from steady on the cattle weighing 700# and up and steady to lower on the cattle weighing 700# and down..

Demand was moderate to good with many farmers still racing to get the corn out of the field to get new bedding up for the fast, upcoming winter months.

The plainer type cattle that are thin in condition or not properly vaccinated are and will remain a tough sell with November right around the bend..

We didn't have alot of the lighter weight cattle in nice bunches to get a good test on that market with the bulk of the sale weighing 550# and up..

It appears that the market will continue to work steady to slowly higher once the crop is wrapped up for the season..
