Friday September 7th Feeder Combo SaleResults from the Special Fall Roundup Feeder Cattle Sale Friday September 7th..
Here this past Friday we had a nice run of Holstein Steers and Beef Cattle for our Customer Appreciation Kickoff Sale as we put the Special Roundup Feeder Cattle Sale Schedule into full swing.
We were definitely shortened up a solid 600-800 head of cattle due to the unfortunate mass flooding to the North of us..
Keep these folks in mind as they will be dealing with this devastation for a long time including some still trying to find cattle that are unaccounted for with fences that were totally wiped out.
We still sold 1,329 cattle on a market that was the new norm of "steadyish" on the Holstein Steers and definitely higher on the Beef Cattle.
We saw a few New Crop Beef Calves but not enough to establish a good market test.. The Yearling market was as good and hot as the Ribeye Steaks coming fresh off the grill outside on the green, properly handled yearlings of high quality..
The Yearling market remains full steam ahead as we near New Crop Calf season and the Yearling Cattle are winding down around the country with limited availability..
With a monster crop getting ready to be put up across cattle feeding country it appears the feeder cattle market is in pretty good shape and with a little help on the Fed Cattle market it'll be in great shape..
Don't forget the next Special Fall Roundup Holstein Steer/ Dairy Cross Sale coming up this coming Friday September 14th starting time 9am sharp..
The next Special Fall Roundup New Crop Beef Calf/ Yearling Sale will be in 2 weeks, Friday September 21st starting time 9am sharp with Beef Cattle only.
This sale will be a cattle show of the finest Yearling Steers/Heifers coming off grass with many large reputation strings already on the books. So keep these sales in mind.
A huge thanks to all Buyers/Sellers alike who could come out and enjoy Steaks, Burgers and Brats bringing together yet another really good sale.
